U.S. Army Base Realignment and Closure Division
As part of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) efforts to streamline military infrastructure and minimize the sustainment costs of excess capacity, the Army’s Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program requires expert support to address the environmental legacy of closed and excess property sites. This includes complex restoration and munitions remediation projects across BRAC and Non-BRAC Excess Properties, often involving coordination with multiple stakeholders, detailed budget forecasting, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
As part of an integrated program support team, Lindahl Reed provides comprehensive BRAC Environmental Coordination services, delivering technical expertise and strategic oversight across a broad portfolio of Army sites nationwide. Our team applies state-of-the-art technologies, risk-based cleanup strategies, and adaptive project management methodologies to advance closure objectives and optimize program investments. Our responsibilities include:
Lindahl Reed’s support to the Army BRAC Program demonstrates our ability to manage complex environmental projects that balance national security objectives with responsible environmental stewardship. By delivering reliable, compliant, and community-conscious solutions, we enable the Army to accelerate reuse and transfer of federal property that minimizes sustainment costs while reducing environmental risk and liability.
[Lindahl Reed’s staff member] continues to do great work for us. Recently, she played a significant role in completing the annual Cost to Complete drill (a VERY significant undertaking for the BRAC Program). As always, she is a sponge for knowledge and constantly looking to expand her contributions to the effort.
