U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville Center
The U.S. Army must meet aggressive energy performance and resilience targets while managing aging infrastructure, complex utility portfolios, and growing operational risks. The U.S. Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (CEHNC) leads the Army’s Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) and Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) programs—flagship contracting mechanisms that enable energy infrastructure upgrades without upfront capital costs. CEHNC contracted with Lindahl Reed to help manage, scale, and execute these initiatives through deep energy engineering expertise and project implementation experience.
Lindahl Reed provides a team of energy engineering, performance contracting, and measurement and verification (M&V) experts that work with CEHNC to enhance the Army’s ability to meet its strategic energy goals, advancing energy resilience objectives, reducing dependence on vulnerable outside utility infrastructure, and improving operational continuity. Our team supports the full lifecycle of ESPC, UESC, Military Construction (MILCON), and Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects at Army installations worldwide. Key areas of support include:
Lindahl Reed’s support to CEHNC’s ESPC/UESC program empowers the Army to transform its energy infrastructure while reducing operational risk and increasing resilience. Our proactive, data-informed, and technically rigorous approach ensures that energy investments generate measurable results that enhance readiness, resiliency, and energy security.
“Few individuals globally have achieved the level of success in energy efficiency for existing facilities as [Lindahl Reed’s REM]. Since last year, he has delivered measurable, cost-effective, and innovative results that have directly benefited both his clients and the broader community. What truly sets him apart is his ability to take energy retrofit projects from concept through completion and into sustained operation, most notably at a site as complex and high-profile as the Pentagon.”
