August 14, 2023

Lindahl Reed, Inc. (Lindahl Reed), a leading provider of technical, scientific, and engineering services to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies, is pleased to announce that it has been accepted into the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 8(a) Pool Initiative, a collaboration between the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the General Services Administration (GSA). The Biden Administration launched the MAS 8(a) Pool Initiative in May 2023 to implement improvements in federal contracting mandated by Executive Order (EO) 13985 – Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government.

The MAS 8(a) pool will make it easier for federal acquisition professionals to find eligible 8(a) firms, buy from them, and advance the Administration’s goals of increasing the share of federal contracts awarded to small disadvantaged business (SDB) to 15%. The MAS 8(a) Pool Initiative will enable Lindahl Reed, as an SBA 8(a)-certified firm, to access federal contracting opportunities through 8(a) sole source and 8(a) competitive set aside awards through the 40 plus Special Item Numbers (SINs) awarded under Lindahl Reed’s MAS Contract No. 47QRAA18D00GR.  The SINs align with a full suite of NAICS Codes under the following categories: Professional Services; Facilities, Security & Protection; Information Technology; Office Management; and, Miscellaneous.

Examples of the expertise available from Lindahl Reed include, but is not limited to:

• Clean Energy • Research and Development
• Energy and Water Resilience • Technology Demonstration
• Resource Efficiency Management (REM) • Grants Management
• Climate Change • Acquisition and Finance

“We are excited to participate in the MAS 8(a) Pool Initiative and greatly appreciate the Administration’s actions to support Small Disadvantaged Businesses,” said Nicole Hough, President and CEO. “We strongly believe that the collaboration between SBA and GSA through this Initiative will ensure that the government has improved access to the services and solutions from Lindahl Reed and other Small Disadvantaged Businesses.  The MAS 8(a) Pool Initiative will make significant impacts to Small Disadvantaged Businesses by offering government buyers and small business champions a powerful new tool to meet the Administration’s Small Disadvantaged goals.”
