Lindahl Reed Inc. (Lindahl Reed) is pleased to announce that Simon Matthews has joined Lindahl Reed as Director of Energy Services. With more than 20 years of business and energy consulting experience in the government sector, Simon has a strong track record of supporting and developing world-class energy programs for the Department of Defense and other federal and state agencies. He brings technical expertise in the areas of energy efficiency, retro-commissioning, energy resilience, decarbonization, electrification, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory development, and high performance buildings. Simon also possesses a deep understanding of large-scale project and program management, financial management, business development, and consulting.
At Lindahl Reed, Simon will be responsible for the execution and development of business throughout Lindahl Reed’s rapidly expanding energy services business line. In this leadership role, Simon will provide oversight and management of contracts, clients, and employees and will be responsible for customer and employee engagement to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services and customer satisfaction. Simon will work in partnership with senior business leaders to develop new governmental, institutional, and commercial revenue opportunities for Lindahl Reed’s energy services markets.
Prior to joining Lindahl Reed, Simon spent six years as the Director of Utility Programs & RFP Project Development for Energy Resources USA, providing energy efficient facility upgrades to state and municipal government entities as well as large commercial clients. Prior to working with Energy Resources USA, Simon spent over 10 years at Tetra Tech Inc. serving in a variety of senior leadership roles in business development, client management, and project management providing energy consulting services to federal clients including the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, VA, and others.
Simon holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), as well as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP).
